Как всегда и повсюду в конфликтах между государствами, в новой кавказской войне нет и не может быть правых, есть только виноватые. Они годами раздували угли, которые теперь вспыхнули военным пожаром. Режим Саакашвили в Грузии удерживает две трети населения в состоянии нищеты, и чем большее внутреннее недовольство в собственной стране он вызывает, тем больше его желание найти выход из тупика в виде «маленькой победоносной войны» в надежде, что она все спишет. Правители России полны решимости удержать свою гегемонию на Кавказе. Они становятся сегодня в позу защитника слабых, но их лицемерие совершенно очевидно: ведь Саакашвили всего лишь повторяет то, что 9 лет назад совершила путинская военщина в Чечне. Правящие круги обеих Осетий и Абхазии стремятся укрепить свою роль привилегированных союзников России в регионе, а заодно и сплотить свое обнищавшее население вокруг испытанного факела «национальной идеи» и «спасения народа». Лидеры США, европейских государств и НАТО, напротив, желают максимально ослабить влияние своих российских соперников на Кавказе, чтобы обеспечить себе контроль над топливными ресурсами и путями их доставки. Таким образом, мы стали свидетелями и жертвами очередного витка мирового противостояния в борьбе за власть, нефть и газ.

Людям труда – будь они грузинами, осетинами, абхазцами или россиянами – эта схватка не несет ничего, кроме крови и слез, неисчислимых бедствий и лишений. Мы выражаем глубокое сочувствие родным, близким и друзьям погибших, людям, оставшимся в результате войны без крова и средств к существованию.

Не следует поддаваться на националистическую демагогию, которая требует от нас единства с «нашими» правителями под флагом «защиты родины». Главный враг простого человека – не его нищий и обобранный собрат по другую сторону границы или другой национальности. Это – правители и господа всех мастей, президенты и министры, бизнесмены и генералы, те, кто порождают войны ради умножения своей власти и своих богатств. Мы призываем трудовой народ в России, Осетии, Абхазии, Грузии отвергнуть приманку национализма и патриотизма и обратить свой гнев на властителей и богачей по обе стороны границы.

Российские, грузинские, осетинские и абхазские солдаты! Не повинуйтесь приказам ваших командиров, поверните оружие против тех, кто шлет вас на войну! Не стреляйте в солдат «противника» – братайтесь с ними: штык в землю!

Трудящиеся люди в тылу! Саботируйте военные усилия, выходите на митинги и демонстрации против войны, организуйтесь и бастуйте против нее!

Нет войне и ее организаторам – правителям и богачам! Да – солидарности людей труда поверх границ и линий фронта!

NO TO NEW CAUCASIAN WAR!
The eruption of military actions between Georgia and South Ossetia threatens develop into large-scale war between Georgia supported by the block of NATO, on the one hand, and the Russian state, with another. Thousand people are already killed and wounded – principally, peaceful inhabitants; the whole cities and settlements are wiped out. The society was overflowed with muddy streams of a nationalist and chauvinistic hysteria.

As always and everywhere in conflicts between the states, there is not and cannot be right in new Caucasian war, there are only guilty. They fanned for years coals which now have flashed a military fire. Regime of Saakashvili in Georgia keeps two thirds of population in a condition of poverty, and the greater internal discontent in own country it causes, the more its desire to find a way out from deadlock in the form of "small victorious war" in hope, that it will write off all. Governors of Russia are full of determination to keep the hegemony on Caucasus. They become today in a pose of the defender of weak, but their hypocrisy is abundantly clear: in fact, Saakashvili only repeats that the Putinist soldiery 9 years ago has made in Chechnya. Ruling circles of both Ossetias and Abkhazia aspire to strengthen their role of exclusive allies of Russia in region, and at the same time to rally the impoverished population around of the tested torch of "national idea" and "rescue of people". Leaders of the USA, the European states and NATO, on the contrary, wish to weaken as much as possible influence of the Russian contenders on Caucasus to provide to themselves the control over fuel resources and ways of their delivery. Thus, we became witnesses and victims of the next coil of world opposition in struggle for power, oil and gas.

This fight does not bear to working people - Georgians, Ossets, Abkhasians or Russians - anything, except for blood and tears, incalculable disasters and deprivations. We express our deep sympathy to kinsmen, close and friends of victims, to people which have remained without a roof over the head and means of subsistence as a result of this war.

Don`t should to fall under influence of nationalist demagogy which demands from us unity with "our" governors flying the flag of "protection of the native land". The main enemy of the simple people is not its poor and sacked brother on other party of border or of other nationality. His enemy are rulers and bosses of all kind, presidents and ministers, businessmen and generals, those who generate wars for the sake of multiplication of the power and the riches. We call the working people in Russia, Ossetias, Abkhazia and Georgia to reject a bait of nationalism and patriotism and to turn the anger on rulers and rich on both sides of border.

The Russian, Georgian, Ossetic and Abkhazian soldiers! Do not obey orders of your commanders, turn the weapon against those who send you on war! Do not shoot in the soldiers of "opponent" - fraternize with them: a bayonet in the ground!

Working people in rear! Sabotage military efforts, leave on meetings and demonstrations against war, organize yourselves and strike against it!

No to the war and to its organizers - rulers and richmen! Yes to solidarity of working people over of borders and front lines!
